Applicants must demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of core electrical engineering principles and the capacity to contribute effectively to service teaching and computing-adjacent programs.
Prior teaching experience at both undergraduate and graduate levels is required, including laboratory instruction and course coordination. Evidence of effective, student-centered instruction, curricular innovation, and sound assessment practices is expected.
A clear and sustainable research trajectory is essential, with a record of peer-reviewed publications and evidence of competitive external funding appropriate to rank. The ability to supervise graduate research students and mentor undergraduate design projects is required.
Candidates should also demonstrate engagement in academic service and familiarity with regional and international accreditation processes and departmental governance.
Exceptional candidates from closely related disciplines, including Computer Engineering or other hardware-intensive computing fields, may be considered provided they demonstrate strong alignment with the department’s core instructional needs and strategic priorities.
Applicants must hold an M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. The department seeks candidates with a strong instructional background in one or more of the following areas: Electronics, Communications, Control Systems, Digital Logic, Embedded Systems, or Mechatronics.
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in conducting laboratory sessions, supporting lecture delivery, and assisting in course development, particularly in core undergraduate electrical engineering courses. The ability to manage laboratory operations, grading, and hands-on instructional activities effectively is essential.
Familiarity with regional and international accreditation standards and documentation processes is desirable.
The successful applicant will be expected to contribute to departmental and college service through administrative and committee assignments. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to engage with industry partners and support students in securing internships, training opportunities, and early career placements.
