The College of Pharmacy at Alfaisal University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Pharmacy Practice within the Department of Pharmacy Practice. The successful candidate will contribute to our dynamic academic community, engage in innovative research, and play a vital role in shaping the future of pharmacy education.

Responsibilities

• Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction in pharmacy practice courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, with a focus on fostering critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and clinical skills.
• Research: Develop and maintain an active and independent research agenda in an area related to pharmacy practice and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Clinical practice integration: Integrate clinical experiences into the curriculum, fostering connections between classroom learning and real-world pharmacy practice.
• Student mentorship: Mentor and advise students, providing guidance on academic and professional development. Supervise student research projects and experiential learning opportunities.
• Service: Contribute to departmental and institutional service through participation in committees, leadership roles, and community engagement activities.
• Professional development: Stay abreast of developments in the field of pharmacy practice, actively engaging in professional organizations and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Educational background: A Pharm.D. or B.Sc. Pharmacy degree, and a Ph.D. in Pharmacy Practice or a related field from an accredited institution. Board certification is highly desirable.
• Teaching experience: Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology integration is a plus. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience post-Ph.D. is required.
• Research record: A strong record of research accomplishments, including publications in peer-reviewed journals and the potential for securing external research funding.
• Clinical experience: Clinical pharmacy practice experience is preferred, with an ability to link practical experiences to academic coursework.
