Overview

Job Summary

The Advancement supervisor will work with the Director of Advancement to implement the advancement objectives outlined in the strategic plan. Responsibilities include providing operational support, managing communications, and developing and overseeing events. This role involves creating and executing a comprehensive, results-driven plan to achieve operational goals related to fundraising events, communications, and special programming, including sponsorship. Additionally, the supervisor will oversee complex administrative support for department management internally and externally.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervises Alfaisal Advancement Department in developing and implementing strategic business plans,setting ambitious achievable departmental goals.
  • Assist the director for the department’s budgets and ensuring the alignment with strategic goals.
  • Plans and coordinates tasks in accordance to achieve Advancement Department KPIs.
  • Maintains all records, including reports, time reports, and other personnel reports for Alfaisal Donors,BOT, etc. to keep a track record of all university external relations.
  • Collects data on current and potential donors from various sources and analyzes it for accuracy, completeness, and relevance.
  • Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Organizes workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks.
  • Prepares and submit monthly/quarterly and yearly department performance reports.
  • Provides administrative support to upper-level department management by scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings and conferences, and maintaining and ordering office supplies.
  • Corresponds with concerned donors, BOT, etc. via email or telephone to coordinate visits, donations, engagement, etc. as part of the outreach strategy.
  • Maintains budget records, such as reconciling accounts and prepares expenditure statements for the department office expenses.
  • Prepares complex, statistical, technical, financial, and confidential, and other various reports, charts, and graphs.
  • Coordinates the preparation and supervision of Advancement Day to day operating tasks.
  • Assists with the implementation of department and University policies and procedures.
  • Works on Fundraising/ and outreach campaigns for Alfaisal University (developing proposals, overseeing campaigns, event planning and executing, etc.)
  • Performs all other duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
  • Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the manager.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations or equivalent from an accredited institute.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) Project Management institute or equivalent (Desirable).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ experience working in nonprofit advancement or with setting and achieving fundraising campaign plans or related fields.
