Alumni and Placement Relations Supervisor (NAC#210525)

Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for all activities and relations of all alumni of Alfaisal University. He/she is in charge of developing and managing engagement programs focused on increasing the depth and diversity of the University’s relationships. Assist in developing and executing the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of alumni relations initiatives that align with the Alfaisal’s strategy.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists the Head of Alumni and Placemat Relations (APR) to develop the Alumni and Placement strategies and objectives.
  • Provides professional advice, support, and training to APR staff in relation to alumni activities, services, and events.
  • Oversees the collaboration between the APR team members and others in the University to ensure that there is effective communication with staff on matters relating to alumni events, alumni group activities, University publications, and web and email communication.
  • Delivers and assists in developing the Alumni and Placement Relations communication plan to incorporate the best alumni and mentoring practice.
  • Develops, coordinates, and evaluates programs and projects to promote APR and educational programs designed to connect alumni through academic channels such as programs/departments/schools/colleges.
  • Assigns, supervises, and reviews the staff’s activities to ensure the right harmony between staff to develop work effectively.
  • Coordinates and produces reports, proposals, and analysis for management, to include monthly budget to actual reviews of areas of programmatic responsibility, periodic reports to reflect relevant data gathering and analysis, and post-event reports and recommendations.
  • Liaises with other relevant University departments to develop close working relationships with internship providers and interns themselves.
  • Manages key relationships with external companies to ensure that there are smooth transitions for students as well as providing formal ‘up to date’ training programs and schedules.
  • Participates in the APR budget as agreed with the head of ARP regarding staff to utilize resources and budget accountability.
  • Works closely with members of the External Relations Division to develop and implement effective marketing strategies by selecting, segmenting, and targeting required job markets.
  • Oversees development & implementation of various events & activities (campus-based, industry-based, career expos, seminars, presentations, workshops, alumni networking, etc.) to develop high-quality materials for publicity through online & print publication.
  • Performs all duties in a professional, competent, and confidential manner.
  • Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the manager.

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Public Relations, or equivalent from an accredited institute.
  • Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) by Project Management Institute or equivalent (Desirable).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years experience in fund-raising for non-profit organizations or related fields.
