Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Quality Assurance and Rankings manages the University's national and international ranking and quality assurance matters. This includes developing and implementing a ranking framework based on methodologies used by various ranking agencies such as “THE, QS, ARWU, and SGR”. This position is to implement a regular data collection process and prepare rankings data submissions. Also, the assistant director is responsible for supporting the implementation of the University's strategic plan and helping achieve its performance aspirations.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists the director in the vision, leadership, and oversight for AQA Department to execute the University’s vision and strategy related to department’s engagement.
- Evolves and implements a ranking strategy plan according to the changing international ranking environment.
- Develops and executes a digital system and tools to collect data required to support rankings.
- Analyzes, communicates, and manages opportunities and risks related to rankings performance.
- Conducts and communicates annual rankings cycles for data submissions and rankings result.
- Designs and coordinates annual academic and employer reputation campaigns.
- Performs institutional assessment exercises and produces corresponding analysis reports (Requires outstanding written communication skills in English and excellent statistical knowledge).
- Prepares proposals for participation in national and international ranking events.
- Contributes to the continuous improvement of the institution and coordinate university-wide activities to achieve institutional goals.
- Prepares quality review and improvement reports addressing areas of strengths and improvement and following up on actions taken to enhance performance.
- Participates in strategic planning and assessment of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Undertakes a quality assurance role to continually improve the university's position at the national and global levels.
- Provides survey, statistics, results analysis, and recommendations on quality and accreditation standards.
- Supports the operations of the QAA office and serves on committees
- Performs all duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the manager.
Education & Experience
- Doctorate’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent from an accredited institute.
- Minimum of (10) years’ experience in managing university rankings or other related fields.
