Job Summary
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the marketing strategy and annual plans and campaigns to promote undergraduate, postgraduate and executive education courses at Alfaisal University. This position is required to work with student affairs, postgraduate office, executive education center and public relations, to create and implement marketing plans that align with the university’s goals and objectives. Also to track industry trends and analyze customer behavior to identify new marketing opportunities.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the annual marketing plan with a Public Relations campaign budgeted for and approved by senior management, college, and department heads
- Provides resources and advises for Alfaisal staff on proper execution and marketing planning details to ensure adherence to established protocols and practices.
- Prepares and builds templates for marketing proposals, budget, event evaluation forms and surveys, policy, and procedures.
- Produces marketing reports on all events supported or initiated with post-event evaluation reports, including attendees' surveys.
- Represents Alfaisal at all external, national, and international events, conferences, etc.
- Develops budgets and track progress to ensure that marketing campaigns are on track and within budget.
- Writes and edits marketing materials, such as press releases, website content and brochures.
- Conducts full audit to review strengths and address weakness that will build on strategy highlighting opportunities.
- Analyzes customer insights and trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.
- Establishes positioning, identifies target audiences, and develops marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments.
- Creates, maintains, and conducts analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics.
- Develops creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet objectives for all advertising and public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.
- Creates a strong database of vendors for print, video, booth design and manage all requests for events and activities.
- Organizes promotional events and exhibitions coordinating day-of deliveries and staffing.
- Presents ideas and final deliverables to internal teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets.
- Performs all duties in a professional, competent, and confidential manner.
- Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by the line manager.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, or equivalent from an accredited institute. A master’s degree is preferable.
- Certification as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) by Project Management Institute or equivalent (Desirable).
- Minimum of eight (08) years of experience in Marketing or Public Relations or related fields. For master’s holder six years of experience.
