Job Summary

The Photo & Video Production Officer creates, identifies and generates appropriate visual assets across the digital spectrum, including high quality video for our University Communications Campaign, websites, email marketing, presentations and social media platforms. S/he manages the video requirements for all activities and events, projects, digital assets and brand compliance.

Working as part of the wider creative team, the Video Production & Visual effects Officer will deliver professional standard products on behalf of Marketing Communications Department and will help develop AV skills across the communications team.

He/She will report to the Communications Specialist.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Devises annual Photo & Video production plan to deliver all aspects of video production from filming, sound, lighting, directing and management, graphics creation, to editing within timescales and budget for the communications plan
  • From raw photo & video material, produce completed videos using digital editing and associated production systems.
  • Responsible for ensuring consistency, coherence and professional standards to all visual media
  • Responsible for implementing the corporate style and branding guidance across all video and photographic output
  • Secure locations and interview subjects in line with product brief and production schedule
  • Responsible for editing and proofing all photo & video materials
  • Ensures accuracy and relevance of all communications materials and takes responsibility for obtaining appropriate sign off prior to publication
  • Supports corporate events, including recording and editing of event content for onward communications
  • Supports the team in delivering creative communications materials through a range of graphic and visual effects
  • Liaises with internal and external suppliers and locations to enable a smooth filming schedule
  • Assists with campus tours as and when needed
  • Assists with department protocol needs for higher management and activities/events as and when needed
  • Submits weekly and monthly reports with accurate information at end of each month
  • Performs all other duties in a professional, effective and confidential manner.
  • Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by manager.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Photography degree or equivalent from an accredited institute (Essential).
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in Photography or related field (Desirable).
