Job Summary

The Office of Research and Innovation at Alfaisal University seeks an Officer for its Students Business Accelerator (Dimensions.) The Officer will provide high-level administrative support for the Accelerator management and must be able to synthesize, evaluate, and communicate clearly and evaluate tasks with an eye toward efficiency. Will anticipate and initiate actions regarding the Accelerator operations which require in-depth knowledge of the Accelerator and other departments. Requires interpretation and resolution of highly varied situations and problems. Supports the mission and vision of the Accelerator (Dimensions.) The Officer will work closely with the Director of the Accelerator, and will be responsible for supporting, managing, and coordinating with students in their innovation and entrepreneurship efforts, and coordinating relevant education and training content. The Officer will also be responsible for coordinating with other innovation and entrepreneurship specialists, and all concerned departments inside and outside Alfaisal University.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accelerator administration and operation tasks, and report to the Accelerator’s Director.
  • Oversee the development, planning, and deployment of the Accelerator programs, bootcamps, courses, and all activities.
  • Coordinate and report on the virtual content for the Accelerator marketing and social media, and ensures publication information is entered using data standards.
  • Be responsible for all Accelerator’s presence, whether physical or online.
  • Plans and coordinates a wide range of high-profile events that includes inside, outside speakers and consultants.
  • Support, manage, and coordinate with students in their innovation and entrepreneurship efforts.
  • Support, manage, and coordinate with educators and mentors in their educational and training content to University students.
  • Reach out and network with external funders.
  • Identify financing and entrepreneurship events and opportunities.
  • Network with other accelerators, incubators, and VC.
  • Be current in national, regional, and global activity in entrepreneurship.
  • Be knowledgeable in relevant financial, legal, and logistic procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education & Experience

  • (Essential) Bachelor’s minimum. Preference will be given to graduates of degrees in fields related to innovation, entrepreneurship and business administration.
  • (Essential) Experience in working with business startups.
  • (Essential) Experience in creating content in both English and Arabic languages.
