Instructor of English for Alfaisal University Preparatory Program (AUPP) - #270220

Alfaisal University (AU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, invites applications for the position of Instructor of English for the AUPP; scheduled to commence as follows:

The AUPP is seeking applications from highly collaborative high-impact faculty grounded in research-based pedagogy to serve as English Language Instructors that will contribute to the program.

Position requires 14-18 hours of weekly classroom instruction; additionally, all faculty within the program are expected to utilize the remainder of the work week as follows: preparing pedagogical-based lesson plans; assisting with curriculum development and assessment; mentoring and advising students; attending staff meetings; attending AUPP professional development presentations and possibly presenting; as well as embracing active participation in the life and community of Alfaisal University.

Duties to commence upon successful completion of the employment visa process for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These full-time positions include a renewable one-year contract with excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits. The start date is:

Qualifications: Appropriate graduate degree (minimum Master’s) in English, TESL/TEFL, Linguistics, Rhetoric and Composition, or very closely related fields. The Alfaisal University Preparatory Program is one of the leading university preparatory programs in the region. The AUPP English academic program consists of five levels, ranging from low intermediate through advanced, with two eight-week terms per academic semester.
