The Research and Innovation Officer is responsible for providing support for the management of internal & external research projects and for the daily functioning of the Office of Research in coordination with the Manager for Research Administration. She/he is responsible for management and oversight to day-to-day operations of research programs

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Handles administrative services regarding day to day operations and procedures for conducting research at Alfaisal University to maintain efficient operational excellence.
  2. Contributes to development of research operational plan, policies, procedures, plans and projects, to allow the University to achieve its overall organizational objectives.
  3. Provides information, prepares grants profiles in a timely manner and helps in obtaining complete and accurate research management administration data at all stages of the grant life cycle.
  4. Keeps guidance to new faculty on research submission process and all electronic submission systems and their procedures to uphold institutional quality.
  5. Monitors progress of projects to ensure deadlines are met, and reviews completed tasks to ensure that necessary changes are made.
  6. Processes payments of supplier invoices according to the University’s financial rules in collaboration with Finance and Accounting department to maintain proficient operational excellence.
  7. Works in partnership with Office staff to ensure that relevant systems and records are updated in a timely and accurate manner to offer a high standard of service.
  8. Facilitate help to students who like to conduct research with outside institutions.
  9. Maintains filling system of internal and external research projects for both hard copy and soft copy and office records accurately.
  10. Performs all other duties in a professional, effective, and confidential manner.
  11. Performs all other related duties as required or assigned by manager.

Qualifications And Competencies

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Management or equivalent from an accredited institute (Essential).

Professional Experience
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in Educational, Research institution or related field (Desirable).
